An enzyme is a substance produced by a living organism that acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific biochemical reaction.  They are very important in maintaining good health.

There are digestive enzymes, which help aid the digestion process and systemic enzymes, which help with overall health and healing.  Our body makes some, but it is an exhaustible resource that should be replenished through food and supplementation.

Enzymes are temperature sensitive, and should be stored and consumed thusly.  Typically fruits and veggies contain the correct amount of digestive enzymes to digest itself.  This is why you should eat a good percentage of raw foods, (NOT all raw).

Fermented Foods

fermented1Fermented food?  Many think that’s what happens when food goes bad.  Well that’s not true in all cases.  An example of fermented food are Sauerkraut, kimchee, kombucha and kefir (not so bad).

Why eat fermented food?  Mainly they help re-supply our gut microbiome with the quantity and variety of flora that help manage our health.  And our environment and lifestyle wreak havoc with the microbiome!

The amounts of probiotics and enzyme available to us in our food supply has been severely dwindled over  the decades.  Many things are pasteurized, and devoid of many life-giving components!

Why Eat Fermented Foods?

Besides the fact that they taste great and really grow on you, there are several great reasons to start making and eating fermented foods:

My wife and I just started to make sauerkraut (we have to wait another month before it’s done).  We will most likely post the results.  And we’ve been making and drinking “water kefir” (very easy to make, quicker and easier than kombucha).

Our microbiome is larger than us (10 times the number of bacteria than the number of human cells) and does a LOT for us!  It’s our immune system’s first line of defense!  And the microbiome affect many other aspects of our lives, including who we wind up with a mates!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month?

Oh please!  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month?  Like who is not aware of breast cancer?  We’ve been hearing about it for decades, and we still have not found a cure…but someone has made lot’s and lot’s of money!

According to http://www.breastcancer.org, currently the expectations of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer during her lifetime is 1 in 8!  That’s 12% of women.  About 40,000 women are expected to die in 2014 from breast cancer!  All that research and dollars spent over decades and we have found nothing to act as a cure?

I think they’re looking in the wrong places!  Like any other condition of the body, it’s much easier to prevent a “disease” than it is to “cure” one.  That’s because by the time you present with serious symptoms, you have had a problem for many years and it’s very ingrained!

Our bodies will handle just about any type of pathogen or imbalance all by itself, if it has the basic raw materials it requires to do the job (good clean nutrition, water and air).  If it can’t, it will give you a symptom to let you know that it needs some help!  If you take a drug to suppress the symptom,then your body creates another symptom, only stronger, to try and communicate that it desperately requires help! Sound familiar?

Breast cancer, like any other chronic condition, is caused by an imbalance in the body caused by toxins, poor nutrition, and poor lifestyle habits.  These are the areas where we will find the most promise for reducing the number of cases and deaths from cancer, and these are the areas that are mostly ignored because they won’t make anyone big bucks!

In our center we look at the whole body-mind-spirit to determine where the imbalances are and then proceed to re-balance you!  We utilize all the tools at our disposal, especially Thermography in the case of breast cancer.  We have had women come in saying they were diagnosed with a breast tumor by their mammogram, and after giving them a Thermography scan, there was actually nothing there!

When we were located in New Jersey we had a 72 year old woman who had a biopsy that was diagnosed as cancerous and the doctor told her that she MUST have a double mastectomy or basically…die!  The doctor was very persistent and called her a lot, greatly scaring her in the process!  We gave her a thermogram – nothing found!  She had another 3 months later, followed by two annuals and all turned up clear!  Had she followed the doctor’s advice she would probably be dead now, or at least be suffering from her surgery and possible followup of radiation and chemo.  (Our scans are read and analyzed by medical doctors trained in reading thermographic images)

One of the problems associated with breast cancer is that the primary medical screening used, (mammograms) utilize radiation.  Radiation is a well known cause of cancer, so eventually, after years of mammograms the doctor will find a cancer!  If a woman has taken 20 mammograms during her life, (not unusual) she would have received the same amount of radiation as if she had stood 1 mile from the Hiroshima bomb blast, because radiation is cumulative in the body!  Add to that all the radiation from other sources, the poor food we eat, and the toxic soup we live in, and we can quickly see why cancer is such a problem today!

You have to mitigate your exposure to toxins, give your body excellent food, water, air, and the correct supplementation, and just like magic your “symptoms” will disappear as your body takes over and cures itself!

The biggest problem today is the medical-industrial complex that is so prevalent that the public thinks there are no alternatives available.  Our main function in our center is to educate our clients to the fact that they do have choices, and they can be empowered to take back control of their own health!

70,000!!  Added to FOOD?!  Why would real food  need any additives?  This is definitely a problem, A BIG PROBLEM!

The food industry, like so many others, is totally out of control!  It’s all about the bottom line ($).  Why do they add these ingredients?  Well, they will usually say it’s a preservative, to prevent spoiling and make the product last longer (FOREVER) on the shelves.  But they pay NO ATTENTION to what affect these toxic chemicals have on the human body!  And they usually camouflage the real names of these ingredients, because they don’t want to scare the public and reduce their $ales!

Here is a brief list of some of the more popular ingredients and what they are sourced from:

Toxic Agent Hit List

Adrenaline – Adrenal glands of hogs, cattle and sheep. Common in medicine.

Albumin – Made from blood, eggs, cow’s milk or vegetables. Often used to add texture or to thicken food — baked goods, cakes, cookies, pastries, candies and cosmetics (also in vaccines).

Ambergris – Whale intestines, synthetic or vegetable. Check perfumes for this.

Amylase – Fungal, bacterial, animal (pig).

Carmine (Cochineal or Carminic Acid) – Red coloring made from insects (e.g.: female beetles). Very common in candies, frozen pops, ice cream, fruit fillings, yogurt, pudding and bottled juices.

Clarifying Agent – Animal-based (egg, gelatin, fish bladder). Used to make liquids clear.

Dextrose – (GMO corn sugar) Animal bones may be used to filter it.

Diglyceride – Animal (cow or hog), vegetable. Baked goods, peanut butter, chewing gum, whipped topping, sweets, drinks, ice creams and shortening.

Dough Conditioner – Glyceryl monostearate, potassium bromate, locust (carob) bean gum, monocalcium sulfate, benzoyl peroxide and calcium sulfate. Watch out for azodicarbonamide and anti-foaming agents also.

Emulsifier – Animal (cow, hog, eggs, milk), vegetable, synthetic. In most processed foods. Lecithin, mono- and diglycerides, calcium stearoyl, polysorbate and monostearate.

Folic Acid (Pteroylglutamic Acid, Folacin) – Usually synthetic or fungal.

Fat – Animal (cow or hog, tallow and lard).

Flavor enhancer – Animal (meat or fish), vegetable. Monosodium glutamate, disodium guanylate, disodium inosiante and soy sauce (90% of soy is GMO).

Lipase – Enzyme from the tongue and stomach of animals (like hogs and cows), fungal. Common in cheese, ice cream and margarine.

Modified Starch – Corn that has been altered in laboratories to contain pesticide. All GMO corn is cancer-causing.

MSG – Monosodium glutamate: Concentrated irradiated salt. Watch out for maltodextrin, autolyzed yeast extract and hydrolized soy protein, all food criminal “cousins” of MSG.

Of course, never consume aspartame, sucralose or sorbitol, as these are synthetic sweeteners and concocted in a laboratory. It’s time to “about face” this onslaught of bad health that really comes from bad choices. Don’t spend another dollar on the food agents that breed cellular disease. Be the smartest shopper you know!

I Learned Something NEW!

heavy_metals_c_600Like many of you, we heave been concerned about our future (current) food supply being contaminated with heavy metals (among other things!)...but we have been enlightened!

The enlightenment came by way of Mike Adams, and his Forensic Food Lab!  This lab does what the FDA
should be doing for the country!

Mike describes his discoveries in a series of videos posted on the site, as well as on YouTube. I strongly recommend everyone to watch these videos!  As of this posting videos 1 and 2 are available now.  The website is located at http://labs.naturalnews.com/Index.html.

The basic message of these new discoveries is that mother nature has a built-in mechanism to mitigate our ingestion/digestion of harmful heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic, etc.) and allow the absorption of healthy ones such as magnesium, zinc, etc.  This protection is only available when we eat WHOLE FOODS!  And I am not referring to the chain of supermarkets.

OrganicIt seems that whole foods bind to the toxic metals and eliminate them in the feces.  This is a concept that changed our way of thinking!  Of course you still need to eat organic foods because of the pesticides, etc.  It was also discovered that if you are eating contaminated fish (mercury) and you consume fruit or other fiber sources with the meal, that will mitigate your absorption of the mercury!
